Questions and answers
Is roaming included with docomo?
Not in the standard plans of the docomo price list we checked. Abroad you pay a pass or a daily charge, shown in the table above.
Can I use a travel eSIM with my docomo number?
Yes. Keep your docomo SIM for calls and texts and use the travel eSIM for data. Your phone needs to support eSIM and be unlocked.
Do I pay docomo anything when I use a travel eSIM?
Not for data, as long as data roaming is off on your docomo line. Calls and texts on your docomo number are charged as in its price list.
What if I forget to turn off roaming on docomo?
Then your docomo SIM can use data abroad at the docomo rates for that destination. Turn off data roaming for that line before you land.
