EE roaming by destination
Keep your EE number, use eSIM data
- Install the travel eSIM at home
Buy and install it over Wi‑Fi before you leave. Your EE SIM stays in the phone. See how to install on iPhone or on Android.
- Use the eSIM for mobile data
In your phone settings, choose the travel eSIM as the line for mobile data. Calls and texts can stay on your EE number.

Questions and answers
Does EE charge for roaming in Europe?
Yes, unless your plan includes it. The current EE price list has paid options for Europe, shown in the table with source and date.
Can I use a travel eSIM with my EE number?
Yes. Keep your EE SIM for calls and texts and use the travel eSIM for data. Your phone needs to support eSIM and be unlocked.
Do I pay EE anything when I use a travel eSIM?
Not for data, as long as data roaming is off on your EE line. Calls and texts on your EE number are charged as in its price list.
What if I forget to turn off roaming on EE?
Then your EE SIM can use data abroad at the EE rates for that destination. Turn off data roaming for that line before you land.
