Questions and answers
Does Magenta charge for roaming in the EU?
Not within the EU and EEA: under the EU roaming rules you use your Magenta plan as at home, within fair use. The prices on this page apply outside the EU.
Can I use a travel eSIM with my Magenta number?
Yes. Keep your Magenta SIM for calls and texts and use the travel eSIM for data. Your phone needs to support eSIM and be unlocked.
Do I pay Magenta anything when I use a travel eSIM?
Not for data, as long as data roaming is off on your Magenta line. Calls and texts on your Magenta number are charged as in its price list.
What if I forget to turn off roaming on Magenta?
Then your Magenta SIM can use data abroad at the Magenta rates for that destination. Turn off data roaming for that line before you land.
