Questions and answers
Does Maxis charge for roaming in Europe?
Yes, unless your plan includes it. The current Maxis price list has paid options for Europe, shown in the table with source and date.
Can I use a travel eSIM with my Maxis number?
Yes. Keep your Maxis SIM for calls and texts and use the travel eSIM for data. Your phone needs to support eSIM and be unlocked.
Do I pay Maxis anything when I use a travel eSIM?
Not for data, as long as data roaming is off on your Maxis line. Calls and texts on your Maxis number are charged as in its price list.
What if I forget to turn off roaming on Maxis?
Then your Maxis SIM can use data abroad at the Maxis rates for that destination. Turn off data roaming for that line before you land.
