Questions and answers
Does Verizon charge for roaming in Europe?
Yes, unless your plan includes it. The current Verizon price list has paid options for Europe, shown in the table with source and date.
Can I use a travel eSIM with my Verizon number?
Yes. Keep your Verizon SIM for calls and texts and use the travel eSIM for data. Your phone needs to support eSIM and be unlocked.
Do I pay Verizon anything when I use a travel eSIM?
Not for data, as long as data roaming is off on your Verizon line. Calls and texts on your Verizon number are charged as in its price list.
What if I forget to turn off roaming on Verizon?
Then your Verizon SIM can use data abroad at the Verizon rates for that destination. Turn off data roaming for that line before you land.
